Differential Fluid Change FAIL

Hi guys,

just thought i'd share this story with you guys... So today, I have the day off. I thought to myself, "maybe this would be a good day to change my differential fluid"

And btw, it's like 32 degrees outside. So I jack up the car... got all of my tools out, or so I thought, and then when I got under the car... I realized the differential plugs are not like the engine oil pan plugs... they aren't bolts.

Looking in my tools, I find no suitable heads to fit the plug. I ended up packing it up lol...

Yeah... I'm pretty sad actually.

Also, it's really hard to get to them, the exhaust pipes are in the way lol.

All you need is a 3/8" socket wrench without a socket on it.

the plug's threads are coated with locktite. basically, you'll need to pull kinda hard to break it free. it might feel kind of tight coming out, but the last few turns should be easy. be sure to pull the check plug before the drainplug, that way it won't gurgle out. it will have a steady stream.

You can also buy an adapter just for those plugs off the tool trucks. They set in a little deeper and don't have the "little ball thingy" in them. Also less of a chance of rounding the plug out.
