Rx Catch Can sucking sound

OK guys with catch cans, I installed an Rx catch can a couple weeks ago. Today I had the hood open and noticed a sucking sound from the side where the catch can is. Is this normal? Kinda sounds like a vacuum leak. I check both hoses and they're attached OK. Thanks!

If I'm imagining the same "sucking sound" that you are, then yes, it's okay.
I thought I had a loose bearing, so I took it into RX and was told it was actually a noise the catch can was making, which shows its doing.. Something (working correctly). If you squeeze shut one of the hoses for a second, it should stop the noise until you release.

I'm sure SC1250 can explain it more in-depth, but the sound is normal.

Could the valve on the bottom be open? Or perhaps one of the fittings it leaking on the can , not the hose?

Is the valve shut when it is full clockwise (looking from underneath) as a screw would be, or full counterclockwise?

Most pitcock drains open and let what ever run out when you turn it clock-wise. When you turn it counter clock-wise it will seal and let nothing drain. I am expecting my rx can any day.

In that case mine is wide open. Maybe that's why it's so loud?

SC2150's install instructions state a slight buzz or rattle while running is normal.

Take a look at it. Is it all the way out or is it screwed all the way in? It's closed if it's all the way out. If it's screwed in then it's open.

And yes this would make it louder then normal.

Update: I started the car last night and let it warm up for a couple minutes. The sucking sound was gone. I checked my spicket and it was turned all the way in (open). So I turned it all the way out (closed). So, I don't know what was causing the sucking sound. Only difference is the night I heard the sound was after driving for an hour. It was raining last night so I didn't want to take it out to get up to temp.
