Question CAT Delete

I just added some Pacesetter Shorty headers, I already had the K&N CAI and the GMPP Borla exhaust, however, I want the car to be a little louder. Has anyone removed the CATs either 1 on each side or both on each side? Will it cause the check engine light to go off? How loud will it be?

The smaller rear cat is behind the rear O2 sensor, so should be able to remove that without a CEL...

It will make the car louder but also makes it more raspy...

After a few days, it sounds a lot better, I bought them on Amazon.com for $287 with free shipping, it cost me $250 to install, no CEL so far after 1 week. Its the first time I have had shorty headers installed, so I really cant compare.

Thanks for the info, has anyone just removed the smaller rear CAT behind the O2 sensor?

i actually had the qtp cutouts installed which open behind the cats at the bend, and it sounded great so i took the rear cats out to up the volume and it did just that no engine light or smell sound did not change much just louder which is good

Pretty sure scrming who posted above, removed the rear cats when he did the resonator delete.
