Custom CNC milled SS emblem project

Hey all, I recently put a painted heritage grill on my SS but was still looking for the right emblem to put on. Other SS badges I've seen for the heritage grill look a little small, so a buddy of mine volunteered his CNC mill to draw up and make an aluminum SS badge.

Here is our first cut at it, still gotta paint the machined pattern portions to see how it looks. Going to try again with an angled badge to match the ~30 deg cusp on the heritage grill.

Nice! I am getting the Sparks ones soon, they are making the front ones bigger now since they were so small before.

Get these done soon, and you'll have a lot of business with this being a high demand item for our cars, this appears to be just as nice as the Sparks one. Should look at making one for the stock grille too. Good job.

But it will take at least a year to get licensing before you can sell them, and even then they still could not get the licensing. Look at what happened to Fifth Gen Concepts.

It looks like the regular SS emblem not the 5th gen SS.
The left side of the emblem doesn't have the same sloped face as the 5th gen SS. It looks to me as if you guys are just remaking something thats already out there, but using metal.

If that's the look you are going for then no offense, just disregard this post.

Honestly hadn't given much thought yet to actually making more than one for personal use, but not a bad idea. The left side actually will probably end up being "obliqued" sort of like the 5th gen tail badge, but that was going to be the last in an effort after doing the angling work.

Cool. I can't wait to see the finished product. I actually thought of finding a machine shop to have this done too since GM is pulling everyones chain with licensing issues.
