How long are you planning on keeping your Camaro?

I was wondering that myself today. I think I will keep if for 2 1/2 years, then I will trade it in on a ZL1. That way I can save up a little over the time and also pay a little more on my car payments too.

your thoughts??

I plan on keeping mine for a very very long time (years) with no definite time frame. Just like my Corvette, Firebird, Mustang... all the nice cars I get with the intention of keeping them for very long periods of time if not indefinitely. It's my daily drivers that shift around every year and a half :P

Until I get so old n weak that I can't drive my 6spd, and then I'll opt for an automatic. Hopefully that won't be for quite some time.

For as long as I can hold off the "I want a new car" gremlins. But I think this one will stick around for a while. I got it just the way I wanted it and it was new when I picked it up.

I'm with the other folks that said forever. I know the ZL1 just came out and ooo its a faster Camaro and all, but the reality is, there is always somone bigger, faster, and stronger than you, and that goes for cars as well. I bought my SS and I plan to keep it for a LOOOOOOONG time. Its my first "new" car and its my first Camaro. It's taken on a cathartic, sentimental quality that i dont see myself reproducing in another car in this lifetime.

I agree with the first half, I'm hoping at least 4 or 5 years. I got mine as base as I could though. That way I've got stuff to work on. It saves me money up front and adding new stuff helps fend off the gremlins. New parts keep it fresh! I've got YEARS worth of additions haha

Since I'll never recoup the $7k I'll soon be up to in mods, I'm going to say a hell of a long time.
