Passed Inspection, needs New Passenger Window Motor - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Well, took my car in for Inspection. It pass....YEA

However, I was having them check out other things.

1. Passenger window making noise when rolling up. They ordered new motor and regulator. I really don't want my door panel taken apart, you know they are going to forget to put something back where it belongs....Part on order, should be here in 7-10 days. Then the fitting, since there is no upper frame on the door for the window, will they fit it correctly and make sure it indexes correctly.

2. PDIM. I am trying to get them to install new hardware, however, no go yet, they would only do an update. I will find out when I pick up my car in 1/2 hour what HW/SW version I have now. I know when it went in, it was CC/CE

Dealer unable to get PDIM software from GM's site yesterday, so they said that when they put the new Window Motor/Regulator in, they will update my software then. My guess is that they are only going to install the same software I already have, since I believe for HW:CC that SW:CE is the latestest. I told them this, but they just don't have a clue.
