almost hit a deer

I live in a scenic area full of wildlife. It's great to look at in your backyard, but not so great during your commute. I take the back roads too which doesn't help the matter.

But anyway. I was driving on a hilly road and I see a car maybe 500 feet ahead of me apply the brakes and I thought I saw something scurry across the road. So I start looking around to see what it was. There are trees and undergrowth almost up to the road. I didn't see it, but when I was looking to the right, a deer comes from the left and starts running across the road. Thank goodness for my brembos. I did 30-0 in no time at all and the deer runs in front of my car by about 3 feet... There's another deer waiting on the left side of the road and he doesn't move. So I start rolling again because I'm not as patient as the deer. Then It starts running in parallel with my car. And I'm like "great" round two. This time I just give it a little gas and pass the deer. In hindsight, I probably should've just stopped and waited longer, but anyway, in case any of you were wondering the Camaro is faster than a deer.

Yes, those Brembos are fabulous, aren't they? I appreciate them every time I slam on my brakes in my SUV and don't get the same response...

I fear this too....I live in deer infested WV and deer have ran into about 50% of the cars/vehicles we've owned over the past 10 years....my route to work (which I can't really change) has about 3 known spots were deer like to cross your path..so I'm always on the lookout!

I hit a deer last year in my Charger. Over 7500 damage. I then invested in the deer warning little stick on horns. I again saw a deer, one coming towards the highway, as I approached the deer, the sound of the horns deterred it and he ran away from the highway. Best 4 bucks I spent.

I was driving the CTS. I didn't hit it, it hit me! It ran right into the passenger side rear quarter panel. I couldn't stop laughing...

My Magnaflow Catbacks 2 1/2" with the 5" Tips. did the job for me. The deer was standing in the road when he heard the exhaust sound he quickly mad he way to the treeline..

I had a catback on my charger and still hit the damn thing. You must have a louder exhaust than I had. I was running Flowmaster super 40s.
