Texas-speed

Does anyone know what's going on with Texas-speed lately? I e-mailed them about 5 days ago telling them that I was ready to purchase a cam package, but that I had a few more questions before I pull the trigger. I e-mailed Matt a little over a week ago, two days after I e-mailed him all I got was I'm going to be out of the office please e-mail/contact another sales person or call us. (I would call but I'm currently in Afghanistan and getting to use the phone isn't as easy as I would like). So after I recieve the message from Matt, I PM'd Jason on this site with a and explained that I e-mailed Matt and what I had gotten in return, and if he could answer my questions so I could go ahead and purchase the package. That was over 3 days ago and still no response, so yesterday I e-mail one of there other salesmen, and still no response. Just trying to find out if I need to go some where else. I've never really had this much trouble getting a company to take my money. Guess I just wanted to vent, and sorry for the long post.

Brandon

Brandon, I did not have much luck with email either. I got them on the phone at an instance though? I understand you cannot get to a phone that often. I can give them a call and ask your questions if you like, just email me.

If they don't know how to do email I don't want them tuning my car. They don't seem professional. When I dealt with Speedinc, Larry replied instantly to all my email if not from the office from his iphone, even on weekends. You should find a shop that is more high tech then that. This is not the 70's, its 2011 for crying outloud.

Shops that are hard to reach are usually swamped. Shops that answer every ring/ding/buzz at a moments notice are usually dead slow. Not nec a reflection on their quality necessarily but Im just saying...

Texas Speed is a big place with a lot of sales and low prices so... Something to consider. Patriot Performance or SDparts are similar give them a try

Thats BS! Speedinc is the top shop for Chevy cars in the Chicago area and are always swamped. They are well managed and organized. A shop that is too busy to answer your questions also forget a wrench inside your engine because they are sloppy all around. I understand that a busy shop can not accomodate you in their schedule for some time but doesn't mean they should ignore customer questions. Its not like your emailing the mechanic while he is working on someone elses car and can't reply.

Go easy there pyle no need to lose your jelly donut I never said anything about slow and reflection of bad quality. Every shops have slow days and ALL shops if they are swamped are hard to reach. If Speed Inc fielded 10,000 emails per day and 2000 phone calls Im sure youd have a HELL of a time reaching them too.

Just saying busy and not responsive doesnt nec mean the shop sells or produces poor quality stuff is all. Try calling MAST... Good luck reaching them yet they ARE the guys in all out performance parts for LS engines right now.

This is exactly why I don't deal w/ Texas Speed. Even here on C5 they start threads but never respond to any questions... I tried like crazy to buy a set of headers from them once... never could get through and I will never go back. Check w/ Mast or someone else is your best bet.
