Tranny Question
I have a bone to pick with my 2003 Corvette Z06. Its a feature that comes from the factory that frankly pisses me off. When trying to shift my manual from 1st to 2nd it will automatically try to make you shift from 1 to 4 if you arent above a certain RPM at the time of the shift. I think this was some half-hatched scheme of GM's to save gas. I absolutely hate it. Its very annoying. If I wanted ot save gas, I wouldnt have bought a Corvette.
Well my question is: Does anyone know if our new manual 'Maros will have this annoying feature?

Yes it will. It is called skip-shift and is put on for CAFE-related reasons. It can be disabled with a simple add-on that can be purchased or made with some parts from Radio Shack. Search this site for skip-shift and you should be able to find at least one thread that talks at length about the topic.
