I have 20k miles and have never used anything but 87 oct. Runs great, no issues at all.
Why spend an extra 20-50 cents a gallon if you don't need to?

I never go empty, so I'm filling with regular than go for premium for the other tank, and so on, this way I'm getting a little more octane.

I use premium and notice a slight difference when switching to regular.

I usually run mid-grade, but, have noticed that there is some surging in certain situations. Running premium eliminates that. Go figure...

It has been talked about many times. Higher octane will give more power and better gas milage over lower octanes. When I switched from 87 to 93 I noticed more power and picked up 1.5 mpg on the highway. The PCM can advance the timing more with higher octane and run a little leaner netting the same power with less fuel at lower revs.

I use premium in my V6, I feel a 11.3 compression will get better performance, But regular is fine and the car was designed to use regular.
