I took these the Wednesday before the Daytona 500 of a Black 2SS, and a Silver RS.

Awesome pics!

That black though..... seems like a lot of orange peel... or is that normal?
I'm no expert on paint.

Haha, that was why i was asking, my black Cobalt has a nicer finish paint than that. Was this one painted differently from production cars?

All of the cars from Daytona were pre-production they had EX at the end of the vin.

Would i be able to use that VIN to get an insurance quote? The RS is basically what i ordered

Nope "EX" means Experimental, you'll have a hard time insuring that.

The vin #'s look really funny when the last three digits are 5 E X, made me take a double take on the Vette a few years back.

How can you tell... The only way to tell the difference between a 1SS and a 2SS is the inside and there weren't any pic of the inside.
