Getting ready to Order

i just got off the phone with the salesman at Phelps Chevrolet, Greenville, NC
I set everything up for order but the man who usually puts in the orders was gone for today So he said he would call me tomorrow when he gets in and see if we cant finish this over the phone.

He also said I would be #2, thats great considering im behind 16000 other people. :(

I'm not sure it's quite that many you're behind, but I'd take the #2 order with a grain of salt. I mean, NASCAR country and not many hot Camaro fans?

I thought you still would get the car on a first come first serve bases basically i thought those ordering on OCT would take precedence over the others

Still excited regardless cant wait to put it next to my other maro on the street

I geuss the one big question would be is, how many cars were your dealer
alocated, meaning.. your were #2 out of how many? I was #4 out of 6.
If you were,lets say #2 out of 5 alocated, you should get your car fairly
early. I expect mine to be around Aug-Sept, based on all the info we have
gathered. Trust me, if you are #2 you got really lucky. not that I doubt you,
but your dealer COULD be shooting you a line.

The Dealer puts your order in the system in what order they want GM to takes/picks sold orders!

If a dealer says you'd be #2, ask for proof.

After listening to slim shady in Chicago telling people they could have a car by summer.....and then thell me they were about 15 cars over their estimated guide number, it just confirmed my thoughts that some are...... "FIBBING".......

I am #2 at my dealership and they printed me off a sheet showing their sold Pre-ordered Camaros and the priority number associated with each one. The list shows my priority as #2.

OK...well I would think that if hes a honest dealer that he would put us in
the system based on when we ordered. I was the #4th one to order at
my dealer, so I SHOULD be the 4th car submitted rite?? (if he's honest)

As you can see, Scotty works at a dealership and even he says "ask for proof". When money is envolved some dealers forget honesty and go for the dollar sign. I have a print out copy of my order (GM workbench) and a signed agreement showing I am to be priority #1. Get proof of your priority!!

Gotcha...Thanks brother! You know, they did ask me what kinda
down payment I would be doin when the car arrived and how long would I be financing for, Hmm...
