heres the link to the actual website and product listing

http://padholdr.com/chevrolet/ipad-h...vrolet-camaro/

I'd like to see a non photoshopped pic. Theres one on this link but its just the bracket and doesnt show it actually installed. And judging by the pic it looks like the iPad would interfere w/ the HVAC knobs.

It would be nice if they made a bracket to come up on the passenger side of the center console just above the line of the shifter.

I hate to have the AC or heat blow directly on the Ipad and have issues using the stereo.

But it looks well built!

Yea the HVAC deal will suck. I dont use those though, I just run my heat from the defroster so I dont really mind having those vents covered. Id like to see this actually installed in a car instead of relying on a photoshop pic to see what it looks like.

Well thats a photoshop. If you look at the pic in the link I provided a few posts up, theres a 6" arm that attaches to the bracket in the pic which allows you to position the iPad in the middle of the radio supposedly. I would think that youd have the 1" or so to move it further up in order to access the volume knob at least. If I do get an iPad and this than I would probably never use the actual radio anyway.

OK spare me 149?
I used 2 Velcro Dot I trimmed and put on the radio knobs and rest it in front of the shifter
Bam Ipad Mount it looks good you can pop it forward to get to your ac controls and the radio is available. I have a case that I put the rough Velcro landing pads Easy on easy off

If you choose the 9" arm from the website it will place the iPad right above the radio and center in the dash. Custom would look nicer, but for 15 minutes and $150 I'd rather go this route and not hack up my dash

Interesting but what can you do with it really?

I'd only be interested in something like this if it could be electronically integrated with the car.
  • Show some performance statistics on the iPad screen.
  • Replace the radio/head unit and have an iPad app for it that controls a remotely installed radio unit
  • Repace the HVAC controls and operate that, heated seats and vehicle settings from the iPad
Now THAT would be REALLY interesting !
