All Camaro Nationals vs. GM Nationals? Both same weekend

Just wanted to find out where most of the C5'ers are going to since both shows are the same weekend. I know the Camaro Nationals in Carlisle was a huge draw, but does anyone know if all those people are planning to flock to the new Camaro Nationals in Frederick or will everyone stick with the GM National's? My mom & I are planning on attending one of the two events with our 5th gens but where is the place to go this time around?

I am going to be in frederick. I went to the nationals, one for the people, the MD camaro club is a great group of people. Two, i went to the nationals for the camaros, so i dont want to drive to Carlisle when there could be a low turn out of camaros. Third is it closer to my house, dont have to buy a hotel.

For me they are probably both the same distance, I'm leaning towards Camaro Nationals figuring the flock of Camaro's will follow to Frederick this time.

Yea there will definitly be more camaros there. There is no more big camaro event at carlise so i dont know what they will do. Camaros were always the star of the GM nationals.

Even in years before the 5th gens came out I noticed that Camaro's ruled the show field by far.

I'll be at Carlisle. I live very close to there ,and it's a tradition for me and my buds. We go to every one except for the imports and the bikes. Although I don't really care about a seeing a sea of one type of car anyhow. I like to see many different types of hot rods.

Yea they always have. And then with the 5th gen last year, well that was just awesome. Like 2 full rows of 5th gens.

The whole thing kind of sucks and creates issues for us. We have a lot of great Pontiac customers we meet up with every year at Carlisle that are still going there. Them splitting off has basically made us have to choose..and I think will lead to two smaller cars.

Carlisle, I like to see all the cars- not just the Camaros. I think we will still have a great turn out even with the other show going on

I am going to frederick, the show in PA stated out as a Camaro Show but turned into a GM event. Where ever the Camaro's are GM will follow.

I too am disappointed :(..... we'll be going to Carlisle because we also have a 2002 Z06 Corvette and like to have both cars in the show (his and hers). We have been attending the All GM Nationals at Carlisle since 2006, then with my 2001 SS. It's always been fun driving up to Carlisle and meeting up with others along the way. I will miss the people from the Maryland Camaro Club and the American Camaro Association, they always do a great job organizing the shows. Enjoyed the dinners and the surprises that Scott Settlemire and "his people" would bring. Hopefully, next year they will be on different weekends.

Carlisle for me and a few other club members. I also want to see other GM cars plus a nice swap meet and vendors from C5 will be there I want to meet. Already have a block of rooms at the Days Inn if anyone needs a nice place to stay. Got a sweet group rate for our HRCC club. Extra rooms still available anyone wants to pm me for the info.

Frederick is where I'll be. I love the judging and fellowship of other Camaro owners.
