ALLOCATION BY WEEK

The allocation by week is available to your dealer so they can see what week of the next allocation cycle will contain any of their (or your!) cars. You may want to check in nicely if you are #1 (or 2 at a large store). They can find it in GlobalConnect.

Let's roll!

But seriously, try to work with your dealer as this process rolls out. You want to have a good relationship as your order goes through the process. Tracking event codes is not all that exciting except when you see a tpw and a vin when she's built. The suspense really mounts when they ship.

Don't ask how I know this but let's just say I know for a fact.

As of today, dealers were notified of their "Final Allocation by Week" report.

As of 2/26/09 (Thursday), this dealer has 1 Camaro for that week. This order can be modified to fit constraints up until Tuesday, March 3rd. As far as I know, this is the first order cycle for Camaro. I don't know where guys are saying there status was changed to 3300 before this order cycle. In fact, this all makes sense that if buildable orders are put in by March 3rd, GM can begin production by the week of March 16th.

If someones status changed, that means their dealer would have that order available tomorrow (2/19). He hasn't seen a 2010 constraint report either.

Someone out there has some unreliable info.

I see 1 in that same 2/26 cycle and it is sitting at 3300 today. It could be a start up thing....and I don't know how I know either

So does the dealer only know their first cycle cars if they get any? When will they know when they can build their other cars?

Consensus tells them each month how many they'll get the following month and then later on they'll find out which weeks they'll get what in that month.
