Market Value in Louisville, KY

Hey All,
Has anyone found a dealer in the LVL, KY area that is not giving the line of 'Market Value' when we get the car? I have tried quite a few different dealers and all of them are sounding like they are going to try and mark up the cars by 2-5k. I talked to a salesperson at John Jones GM city and she said no more then MSRP, 5 minutes later she calls back and says "market value"

I ordered my car from Brown Bros on Fourth Street with the mutual understanding that I would get the car at MSRP. I did have to bring up the fact that another dealership in the area promised me MSRP if I ordered a V6. I have the order sheet with the pricing on it with my and the salesman's signature on it.

Springhurst Chevrolet

Louisville, Ky 40241
Phone 502.425.9993

I think the GM name's was Buddy Peacock. MSRP with no mark up and no money down for the deposit after telling me 500 on the phone. Got the workbench in front of me. Got the letter from GM with the 2010 Camaro with my name on it yesterday. Tell them that I sent you!!!! PM me.

Good luck getting your car from brown bros. They got the "letter" yesterday from GM!!! Springhurst got it to. Your best bet is to visit one of the indiana dealers. I bought mine from John Jones and they TREAT YOU GOOD. I also have bought other cars from them and would recommend anyone to them. I know John Jones has a couple Camaro's left to order and they have a RED SS coming in soon!!!

Just order from someone on the MSRP list.

**** the rest of them. I'll fight for Gm's right to earn a fair profit but right now with millions of cars rusting away and strong competition in the class, it's not worth a dime over MSRP. That's money you eat as soon as you drive off the lot.

The two dealers that took pre-orders at MSRP in Louisville both get the ax while Champion in LaGrange 6k over, Coyle in Indiana 7k over, Montgomery on Dixie 3500 over and Bachman "what ever the market is getting" Chevrolet, Bob Hook "What will be the market value" are still open

Man, we are just in a perfect storm of dealer douchebaggery with this car. They have a hot vehicle with a lot of buzz while at the same time all of the dealerships are on the chopping block while the whole company is lining up for bankruptcy. It's causing a lot of the saleslizards, never a very ethical bunch, to act even more unethically.

A couple of weeks ago when the cars first started hitting the dealers I was a little down in the dumps because there's no way I can afford a new Camaro until I get my wife's van paid off. However, it seems like everyday I get on here or 5thgen.org and hear about some new dealer shenanigans. It makes me glad I have to wait. As long as GM doesn't go Chapter 7 by the summer of 2011, I figure the frenzy will be over and I can get my car for a fair price. The dealers who are going to die will be gone, production will be completely up to speed, life will be good.

Yeah, I'm stuck at 1100 and worse, I'll have to take my Camaro in to one of those douchebags to have it serviced. I surely don't want them to have any of my money.

Its a shame to hear about Springhusrt Chevrolet. Those were always good guys over there. I never bought a car there, but whenever looking they were helpful with no sales pressure. If I were buying a new Chevy it would be the first place I stop in Louisville.

Did they have one on the showroom floor? Are they open on Sunday? I want to send my father over there to take a look.

Hmm. I haven't heard anything about that from them. I guess they may be busy if they received such news. However, my status is at 3800 which means my car is produced. I wonder how that will affect things.

I didn't see anything in the news about Brown Bros. and I agree that they are a straight up dealership.
Buddy Peacock said it would not affect my order and I don't see how it could.
