I would imagine they could if they wanted. Keep your stock CAI and if you have a problem return it to stock before bringing it into the dealership for work.

Go to a different dealer!! That is the biggest joke ever! IF you ever had a warranty issue, GM would need to prove that your modification led directly to the issue. I have been part of similar discussions several times, and personally have dealt with it. One kinky/jerk/stupid dealerships operate this way. I used to work at GM Dealerships and still have many friends in Service Departments. No way a CAI voids your warranty. I would recommend to never give that dealership another penny of your service needs.

I just sent a email to dealership stating what you just told me.

Question: has anybody experienced engine problems caused by a air intake upgrade??

When I installed my Airaid. My dealership's service manager complimented Me on how good it looked and then told Me that because the filter has oil on it, that if it does any damage to the MAF sensor, and that's a big "if" then warranty wouldn't cover a new MAF Sensor. That's it.

I personally will take the chance by allowing my Camaro to breath better.

So that's all it can do damage wise to a car? I will def put it on. Maf sensor isn't expensive.

That's it. And even that won't happen. Even if it were to get excessive oil on the MAF, you could use MAF cleaner from your local auto parts store to clean it off.

You'll be just fine. Install away!

I just had my clutch, pressure plate and bearing changed under warranty, my car is no where near stock, first think my service manager ask me is if I modified the transmission, I replied no, he replied no problem, gave me a rental and got my car back in 3 days, I would say take it to another deal for sure!!

Depends on the dealer but I'm sure GM would want to void warrenty's because the cold air's DO change the tuning of the engine. We've had a few cars come in with cold air's and the tune is way off. Most cars are fine but some aren't.
