Suggestions
Well since purchasing my '11 SS in Oct. I have been absolutely in love with the look of the car. I am however, drastically disappointed with the performance of the car. I love the way it reacts top end to throttle but on the lower end I wouldn't want to race a chipped 2011 Duramax because i'm guessing I'd lose. I told myself that I didn't want to mod but I'm changing my tone quickly.
What mods will generate the most "bang for your buck" performance? 2nd question...have you actually dynoed the before and after figures of the mod addition to get precise feedback? Thanks before hand. |

Sounds like something is wrong. I would suggest making sure everything is OK before you start modding. A baseline
dyno might be a good idea. Do you have the LS3 or L99? If L99, you might be stuck on the low octane calibration. Or you might be getting a lot of knock retard for some reason which would limit spark advance. If by lower end you mean launching, its possible that the tracking control is holding you back to prevent tire spin. How many miles on your car?

car has 2700 miles and its an automatic. it's a dog. i"ve tried the fuse pull of the 5/20 fuses...and put the better fuel in prior to doing this. seriously....this car will not spin the tires. I tip toe around all those that want to engage in street race because i would lose. i get 25-26.5 mile to the gallon on the highway so it seems to run alright once i get up to steam.

Try your fuse pull again and wait over night. Of course with good gas in it already.
Then hold the button down for 7 secs until both traction control and stabili-track off shows on your Info-Panel. Then spin away.

i'll try the over night fuse pull....but yes all efforts to spin the tires have been after the 7 second hold and i still feel like i'm "fred flinstoning" the car coming off the line.
