Can you show us all those people?

You want to talk to Ted Jannetty at Jannetty Racing about his tunes on a SCT. Plenty of people on this site and others will tell you his L99 with A6 Transmission tune rock.

I fixed it for you.

On a stock car, a handheld makes a decent difference, and is a great stop gap measure if you are unsure how you are gonna mod later. Basically, use it to get some more power now..with bolt ons like intake and exhaust, and then when you seriously mod, sell teh tuner, get your money back, and use it for a dyno tune.

Here are two test I have done on the Diablo Predator (PT# U7194).

First off is a test of the tuner alone on our A6 Camaro. One thing I did not mention is in the original thread, after we tested the Predator, we had a dyno tuner from a shop (who shall remain nameless) trying to beat the Diablosports numbers using HPTuners. The results did not go the way he wanted, so he ask we not post his results.

The second test we did was the Diablo at the track with a Vararam. In this test, just the Diablo Predator dropped the car 2 tenths, and the Vararam dropped it another 2 tenths to get the A6 without headers running 12.7's!

(Hope you can take a joke)

To seriously answer your question I can only speak to my experience with the SCT. User non-freindly. You'll fugure it out eventually, but when you have problems it's a bitch. I'm pretty computer savvy when it comes to figuring simple things out, but the SCT had me messing around for a while when there was a driver problem or whatever. I know how to manually install drivers, and yet still couldn't get mine to work at times. Oh, and if you get an SCT, right click the icon and go to preferences and tell it to open maximized. The interface sucks.

That's all I personally know about tuners. I hear Diablo is good, but that's only what I hear. I have never even seen one.

Oh damn.

Did not know that. I guess SCT is the ticket.

best tuner programs depends on who is tuning the car, every tuner likes something different. as far as hand held tuners sct seems to be the way to go. i highly recomend going to a well known reliable shop that can dyno tune your car.

Not sure if this is true, but i hear EFI live is what the GM techs use. So i think that would be one of the best. As for handheld SCT is probably the best.

A SCT tuner with a janetty tune typically is the best you can get without doing a street dyno tune. And from what I continually read on here that closeness is EXTREMELY close to a very good tuner and sometimes better than other tuners.

If you're going to buy a tuner and try and tune it yourself, then yes I'd say you're wasting your money.
