Best Tuner Programmer?
I wuz wondering wat u guys though was the best tuner or programmer for an ss2 auto?
I c a bunch of different ones on here that ppl r selling just wondering which one gets the best results? |

the general consensus on handheld tuners is they are a waste of money..
sorry about your luck at first i wanted one also but after ready 203,586,394,492 ppl saying they suck it kinda shyed me away from them

For a FI setup or all out racing or Track car go with a full Dyno tune....Or a cam install...allthoughTed at JRE can do cam tunes by Datalogging....

(Hope you can take a joke) ![]() To seriously answer your question I can only speak to my experience with the SCT. User non-freindly. You'll fugure it out eventually, but when you have problems it's a bitch. I'm pretty computer savvy when it comes to figuring simple things out, but the SCT had me messing around for a while when there was a driver problem or whatever. I know how to manually install drivers, and yet still couldn't get mine to work at times. Oh, and if you get an SCT, right click the icon and go to preferences and tell it to open maximized. The interface sucks. That's all I personally know about tuners. I hear Diablo is good, but that's only what I hear. I have never even seen one. |

On the L99 (2SS Auto) you can not tune the transmission with Diablo...

best tuner programs depends on who is tuning the car, every tuner likes something different. as far as hand held tuners sct seems to be the way to go. i highly recomend going to a well known reliable shop that can dyno tune your car.

Not sure if this is true, but i hear EFI live is what the GM techs use. So i think that would be one of the best. As for handheld SCT is probably the best.

A SCT tuner with a janetty tune typically is the best you can get without doing a street dyno tune. And from what I continually read on here that closeness is EXTREMELY close to a very good tuner and sometimes better than other tuners.
If you're going to buy a tuner and try and tune it yourself, then yes I'd say you're wasting your money.
