Anybody using a 2 step with CATs? MSD or Lingenfelter?

I will have my JRE brawler and cam kit(600-650RWHP) in soon and would like to use a 2 step for a good launch control but don't want to burn out my CATs. I also like the Lingenfelter one since you can set it up for the shifts as well to keep the harsh shifts from kill the drivetrain. Any feedback or opinions? I do have some 305's Nitto 555.

At that level you're gonna kill those cats sooner or later without the 2 step. I blew my kooks high flows apart at 625 rwhp and no two step. Ask Ted. At above the 625-650 mark, he doesn't recommend cats.

Well that sux because he sent me high flow CATs, I wonder if I can send them back and get the CAT delete pipes.

Interesting. Def at least ask him about it. But I know that all of his high hp builds have no cats. Maybe they just came with the kit. But I'm guessing you got the 1 7/8 headers? We all have 2".

Yeah they said not enough difference between the 1 7/8 and the 2" in HP but yeah I got their Brawler kit and the cam kit. It prolly isn't worth the shipping cost to send back maybe I will just change them when they burn out.

That's what I did. I never planned to run without cats but a day of low 10 second passes made that decision for me!

Yeah I am still waiting on my LPE twin pump to come in, it should ship next week.....been on backorder for 2 weeks
