FUSE PULL NUMBER

Last friday I swapped my G5CR CAI for a K&N.

Hd no problem, but I got a CEL this morning.

I have to use my car today and don't have the time to serach the site for the fuse number to pull for the MAF in the CAI.

Can anyone tell me wich number (fuse) that needs to bpulled out and reinstalled.

Thanks.

Can't say for sure, I tried to commit those #'s to memory last time I saw them. I think it was 5 and 20.

+1 I believe those are the ones as well.

However, Montreal, before you pull the fuses, I would suggest u keep your keys on your person, and not in the car. When you pull those fuses, I remember the doors lock automatically.

Also you might hear a weird clunking sound. (I disengaged my battery before pulling the fuses to avoid those).

Yeah, actually won't really work... lol. The CEL will come back on, or just stay on.

Heard lots of CEL's going off with K&N intakes. It's odd.

i never knew pulling the fuses would reset the cel. I always thought disconnecting the battery was the only way. Unless you have a cel reader that also clears cel's.

edit: and the 5 and 20 fuse pull is for resetting the fuel tables for the v8 camaro's.

Ah Touche! Thanks for finding that out lol. I've heard it both ways, battery and fuse. But I've never done that... just used a CEL reader.

Actually now that I think of it, pulling those fuses caused me to get a CEL as well LOL. I remember, I cleared it. =P

Pull fuse # 5 and 20, wait about 15min's or so and push them back in, start it up, don't rev it, just allow it to run on its own. That should take care of it. I had the same thing with my CAI (Airaid) and when I did my exhaust as well. Once the fuse pull was done (over a year ) have had no issues. Some pull the fuses while installing a CAI and some don't. I did not but I did undo the the pos battery connection under the hood.

Just did that and CEL stayed on.

What makes me mad is that I had a G5CR CAI installed for 2 weeks and did'nt get any problem and I felt an engine power increase. I spent hundreds of hours on this site since last fall and no one seemed to like the G5CR. Material use a Top Quality, no plasctic tubing but a metal-hard hose connection fo the bent, and a stainless steel part to attach the MAF, but it doens'nt have a heat shield.... so I swiched it for K&N (had a good deal) which is supposed to be one of the 3 or 4 best. Than I get a CEL after 2 days only.

NEW: When I shut down the engine I hear a knocking sound fro the MAF, than a small whissling sound and an tother knocking sound.....
