FBODFATHER---WE NEED YUR HELP!
Ok so in another thread, we were discussing Oshawa updates, and we went to talk about the constraint on the v6s that dealers were told about. Scott, you said that there was no constraint and that the cars would be built collectively to insure that we get our cars.
But we are confused, we meant that we were told that there is a constraint on the v6 sold orders, that there would be a delay on building sold order v6s because of the need to build the v6 demos first. Can you clarify this, we are concerned wih havng our sold order v6s being delayed a month longer... Can you clarify this please. There seems to be huge misunderstanding and ther were more then enough people who were upset when he heard about the v6 sold order constraint |

Just change your order to a V8. They're much cooler.

We really don't need his help... this has been explained several times. He's said it (albeit indirectly), it's been in all the dealer info, dealers on this forum have said it, etc. What more do you want?

I really think it should be a warnable offense to direct threads to Scott. It's petty, to me.

UCF, you havnt explaned anything, i dont know where your getting that its been explained, dealers are saying that there is aconstraint on the v6s, even your the one who has confirmed this, then Scott is saying that no cars are constrained, and that they want to get everyones car out to them, how do you match that up with the dealer constraint. So how about this UCF since you clearly know it all and understand, Explain it in clear words what you know is to be true, so that the others like myself, who are confused and would like to know what is really happening, i cant piece it together right now, but you can, so can you please explain everything so you can set it straight foward for me.
P.S how many people PM Scott asking things, and im concerned with having my car and Scott is the only one who seems to say things and literaly clear up everything and make the situation get a lot better. SO im hoping that he can clarify this for the others members as well as so that everyone doesnt get pissed and make a stupid decision such as cancelling an order. There were alot of people who were upset when we first heard about the constraint on the v6s. So UCF, help me and other members out |

Someone correct me if I'm wrong...but they're building the 'dealer V6' cars at the SAME TIME they're building the 'pre-ordered/sold' V6 AND V8 cars.

I don't see how it's possible that they build customer v6s and still build enough to get to all the dealers in one month. And if that was the case, why would they be constrained? Dealers were/are not able to put in v6 orders for their first allocations.

"Approximately a month later, the plant will begin building the customer v6s and all will be normal from then on"
That doesnt sound like a delay to you? For v6 sold orders? |

There were dealers here who did order a v6 for the first allocation, Gtos was a v6. But then theres those who cant because there is a supposed constraint on the v6 as well as the hurst shifter.

Patience is a virtue? I know when i bought my 07 Cobalt SS, i waited for the third model year, and in doing so, picked it up on September 1. I got to drive it for a month and a bit before i parked it for the winter.
That was a long winter!

Yea, they are building v6s and v8s... just all the v6s are going to the one-per-dealer thing.

It is a delay from our perspective as we were unaware of the one car per dealer thing til the last IDL. But it's not from theirs. |
