FORD HAS BETRAYED ME, Ordering an SS

Long time forum lurker here finally checking in to vent to fellow muscle car enthusiasts (spell Check). Im 21 years old and approaching my senior year in college and have put off purchasing a car until now. Heres were its gonna get hairy (puts on flame suit). I for the longest coudnt decide between the classic matchup SS or 5.0, but Ford has been good to my family for 2 generations on both my mother and father's side with both my grand fathers working for them for over 20 years (I m from detroit) So i initially chose the 5.0 with rtr package and had a check for 48 grand in hand this past week to get one. (only 2000 bucks more than a fully optioned out 2011 2ss)

But when I went to my dealership here in ga they gave me the "idk what your talking about" speal that is sadly becoming more and more common amongst sales people in every brand. They didnt even know how to order one. So after about a week of calling around they found a rtr certified dealership somewhere out in the georgia boondocks, they called em up and told them i wanted one and they basically said we dont give a s*** because hes 21 and wont be able to get insured ( ) and also they have never done one ..... So as soon as i finish my last class im going and gettin me a chevy and spending the extra 2k on interior upgrades because the the camaro is beast on the outside but a cheep pos in the inside :P

Good choice but I dont see anything wrong with the Camaro interior as a matter of fact I like the camaro interior more than the mustang and I have driven both. But good choice anyways. A 2ss is $46,000?

That must be some optioned 2SS (GFX or 21" Wheels or both). A base 2SS/RS should be around $38K-$39K before any discounts.

Wow, they refused to order the vehicle you wanted. Sounds like they do deserve your business. The interior could use some work, leather, soft touch materials. Looking at the fake leather grained plastic does get old.

You can get a fully loaded 2SS/RS for considerably less than that.

And, I like the interior for the most part on my 2SS.

If you have a check in hand for 48k I'd wait to see the price of the ZL1.. You'll still get your 550hp like the 'stang but in LSA form ^_^

Mustangs are a dime a dozen. Camaros are the real head turners.
