Taillight Tint - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Alright. So I am looking for a tint to black out my taillight. In the following picture, the tint on the left is 6% and the right is stock. Is it dark enough (somewhat darker than stock)? Do you guys think this would look good on my CGM?

Looks ok! Don't think that's 6%! 5% is daaark! Maybe could be a little darker! I am waiting to do mine, just ain't got around to it!

The guy from Big Worm Motorsports said that it is his lightest tint. His percentages are the opposite from everybody else.

mike forget what everyone thinks, its your car you got to love it, if you feel darker is the way to go then go darker, if you think that tint looks good rock the hell out of it

Yeah that's odd. So then the Charcoal would be his darkest?

I actually found this thread because it looked like the charcoal was his darkest but then when I saw his tint %'s they showed that it was the lightest by conventional %'s.

Yea. The Charcoal is his darkest and the Tint is his lightest.

Yeah it is kinda confussing, but that's how the company we buy the material from rates it so figured we would keep their system. The higher the % the darker the film.

Other than the weird % the material has been great and we are happy selling it. It's much easier to install than other types of material on the market. We tested several and continue testing whenever new material becomes available.

We are adding more pics and making a couple of other changes to help with any misunderstanding over the next couple of weeks.

I did mine in Gunsmoke. Looks a little dark but still can see some lens color through it!
