2011 LS v 2000 Mustang V6 and GT

title dictates. I have a buddy with a 2000 GT we always mess around just having fun. While his previous mustang was sold to another buddy and he said the v6 would destroy me. opinions?

Stock 2000 V6? If that's the case I just can't see that being close it all.

You'd slaughter the 2000 v6. You'll toast any v6 mustang except the 2011 and up models. As for the 2000 GT it depends, I see you're stock and if he's completely stock too I think it could be a drivers race. Mustang probably has the edge though.

The GT and i have had on street before just messing around and i got off the line faster. so that isn't my concern cause its a buddy thing. the V6 guy on the other hand persistently says my car is crap and its slow... I did tell him the situation in power but he ignored it...

You will destroy the 2000 V6. (he has 190 hp to your 312.)

The 2000 GT will be a closer race. If your friend knows how to drive, the 2000 GT's greater torque should launch it better, but the V6 Camaro's higher top-end and 6 speed transmission would allow it to reel it back in down the line. Are you doing 1/8 mile or 1/4 mile? That could make a difference.

Gt has a 1/4 ton weight advantage, equal power to weight ratio, and a 30 lb-ft advantage. I would say that the gt is faster through the 1/4 mile for sure.

Eh idk it would prob be a drivers race but I'd honestly say the camaro would beat the gt I've raced a 01 gt at the track and crushed him he had a cat back and intake and I have wat I have now so I'd say it wouldn't be much of a difference stock buy will be closer as for the 00' v6 not even a contest

You'll take the mustang V6 forsure....GT probably not but should be an interesting race. Let us know how it turns out. We always get these but nobody says how they turn out lol.

I know 2 V6 Mustang owners in particular just like that ! One owns a 2010, the other owns a 2004. Both automatic nonetheless !!

You'll leave the V6 so hard you'll knock him in the weeds. Used to play with them in my old Crown Vic and could edge them lol (I took that car to the track, best was 16.1 lol)

The GT, really depends on transmission. An auto should be a decent run with the advantage going to the Camaro, the stick on the other hand, if he can drive it, would have the advantage.
