whats it like? 2800 stall converter

does anyone have any experience driving an auto with a 2800 stall? how would this be for a daily driver? too much? i drive in moderate traffic on occasion and through hilly terrain. would the cruising rpm at 65mph be higher than normal? thanks for any advice.

You'll be fine. You won't notice a difference between that and the stock one.

Trailblazers and envoy's come with a 2800 stall from the factory. You will notice a decrease in traction.

On the highway, yes, same rpms. Around town, he will lose gas mileage and it will rev higher to move (therefore, louder too). He'll also be quicker.

I had a 3000 stall in my 4th gen and I loved it...I almost pooped myself the first time it hooked up at the track on sticky tires..besides the nitrous kit the stall was the best thing I did to my car..the everyday drivability was fine and after a week I hardly even noticed it was there

I have a 3200 on my Camaro and its dam near stock feeling. IMO one of the best mods I have done to my SS besides the Trans cooler

I have an FTI 3200 and it doesn't drive like stock. It took me a while to adjust to it. It revs a lot more to get the car moving below 3200 rpms. It's no big deal and I'm used to it now, but my car definately doesn't drive like stock.

But as soon as you go more than about 1/4 throttle, the rpms jump above
3200 and the car hauls axx. Sticky drag radials are a must or you'll get no traction at all.

I had a 2800 on my 99z28 and never even noticed it. My car drove like stock. There's a huge difference between my 2800 on my Z28, and the FTI 3200 I now have.
