New Member, New Camaro Ordered
As a die hard Camaro fan I have been viewing this site for some time learning all about the new Camaro and all the details. A great site for info and it proved valuable yesterday when I ordered a 2LT, Auto, Red Jewel, Cyber Gray Stripes code B7W factory installed and gray interior. I asked about their ordering and pricing. Dealer was offering MSRP for a preorder and I ended up with MSRP minus $200 and also got a refundable deposit option, both in writing. Salesman was cool and we went to the manager who enters the orders and I sat through the Order Workbench process with him. I was given a copy.
I ordered on 2/23/09, the order type is SRE-Retail Sold, the Priority # is 1 and the Early Order Activity option code R6P is listed. All costs were W/A. Today I went back to the dealer and he showed me his Preliminary Orders screen and my order was there at Event Code 1100. Thanks to all for the information! By the way my other car is a 1969 Z/28 RS #'s matching which I have had for 10 years. My first camaro was a 69 way back in high school. Hope you all get your new camaro soon. |
