Sold Order vs Lot Car?/Preorder Deadline ? - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

OK guys, I have been trying to do as much research as I can on this, but I am still not clear. I understand the last day for preorders is 3/14. My dealer was allocated 2 cars through q3. He hasn't had any preorders yet, so he put in for 2 lot cars already in the system whenever they become available. He says if I put in a 'Sold Order' GM will pull it before it pulls the lot cars ordered. Is this correct?

I think the dealer can submit what ever type of order they want once they get an allocation. But if they don't submit anything and have sold orders and lot cars it probably would automatically pull the sold orders first.

Just a guess, I'm sure a dealer would have more accurate info...

Preorders get to be part of the early order program. You get letters from Ed Pepper, a print of a Camaro with your name on it along with your order confirmation number and the date, and I am sure you will get some more goodies before the car finaly gets here.

Lot cars just get packed with extra $$$ scotchguard, extra window tinting and some extra margin.

Tell him if he doesn't put your order in FIRST, You'll post his dealership name in this thread.

Black Suburbans lurk here, so if they find out a dealer has FAKE ORDERS in the system for the dealership, they'll be breaking a requirement for the sold pre-ordering - and THAT IS NOT A GOOD THING!!!!

Simple answer for this is YES. Lot cars will be bumped by sold pre orders...
