New gill inserts on the Indy Pace car....
I got a call from my dealer the other day letting me know they had an Indy Pace car Camaro on the showroom floor. The guy who order it was picking it up the next day. I swung by the dealership to check it out and noticed that it had a new style gill inserts on it. They were black and only half as wide as each gill, covering only the back half of each gill, and covering the full width of the gill at the top and bottom edges. They looked really sharp. I was not planning on getting gill inserts, but these look really nice. Dealer said they are supposed to be available in the next month or so. Anybody else noticed these?

I saw these on some SS's at a dealer and I just assumed they added them. I didn't know GM was putting them on. They do look really cool though but sorry I don't have pics.

Sounds like the ones I have in silver from RPI Designs.Not to big and just enough to have a highlight in that area.Matches the silver stripes on the car also.

I haven't seen them in person yet,but GM just came out with gill inserts available as an accessory,Part#20972524.
These are probably the ones you seen.
