Heritage Grill paint ideas

I originally wasn't going to paint my grill but you guys convinced me. The thing that I'm unsure about which was holding me back from painting it in the first place is the fact that the original grill isn't gloss.

I don't want to paint the grill gloss black because I want the colors to be similar to the original grill. I thought that if I left the heritage grill unpainted that I could achieve that look but then after looking at some pics I realized it doesn't really match, like at all haha. Would painting it matte black look stupid? What if a vinyled the whole area to be matte black sort of like this http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=141001.

I have never seen this look though on a black car. Be truthful if you think that would look stupid. I'm just throwing some ideas out there. Any other ways you think I should paint it so that the color matches the original grill (or at least be close)?

I don't have any ideas on how the Matte Black would look, but my whole grill including the center was painted Gloss Black and I absolutely love the way it blends in with the car.

I will snap a picture and post it tomorrow.
