Thumbs up 2011 camaro HID in fog lights.... PLS HELP

SO i have 5202 bulbs in the housing right now but want to put a 6K HID Kit in it and on the housing it has a piece of tape on it over a little hole, should i remove the tape so that the housing wont get as hott it could possibly be a breather and forgot to remove the tape, also do you think the hid will melt the housing????

My guess is that it will melt whether you remove the vent or not. Removing the vent will just let water in.

The tape is a breathable filter to help get moisture out of the housing.

I don't have HIDs in my DRLs, as I'm pretty sure they will melt the plastic housing.
