Opinions on a Shift light

Ok....wanted to get some opinions on a shift light. I'm just starting my research on them and alot of the posts are a good 6 months old or more. Looks like there were issues with the Raptor initially but maybe they've fixed them by now.

As of now I'm looking at the Raptor or MSD light. I really like the idea of a launch mode on the Raptor...that's a big selling point for me to help me launch the car more successfully and consistently. So far I can't tell if the MSD has that mode or not. All I saw was that it had 4 shift points.

I would also like to make it to where I could remove the light when I'm not at the track. Do either of these lights have a plug that makes that happen or is it easy enough to add my own plug?

Who is using either of these lights?

How hard was the install (seems like MSD might be easier than Raptor)?

Where are you mounting the light? Any pics you can post?

Where have you found the best price on the light?

I'm not set on any light right now so any other suggestions would be apprciated as well.

I was to understand you can install Heads up Display in the 2010. I have it in my 2011 and your Speed and a tach is displayed right up on the window in front of your eyes. Easy to see. Love it.

Sorry I cant help with your other questions.

Yeah but that's at least $600 (if not more) and a good bit of work. On top of that there is no shift light. If I already had HUD it might work well enough but I'm not looking at adding that.

Shift light is more reasonable for my situation.

Look at the aeroforce gauge. It can monitor a lot and has a feature for it to be like a shiftlight. You can get the guage and gauge pod pretty cheap. It just connects into your OBII port.

I did not realize it cost that much to add.
