Metra update

Hi everyone I just wanted to let you know that I have the cable for the Metra update for anyone who may need it. Thanks to camarogeek who sent me the cable to pass it on to others. I will send it to the first person to pm me their address. You can pass it on to whoever needs it from there.

I dont have a metra, but you guys should keep this thread going and post who has the cable at the current time. This way people know where its at and then someday camarogeek can get it back.

I already did it, thanks. But there's a new update already for the bootloader. I don't know if it effects the metra kit yet. I'll try it today.

Wow deja vu. I went through this same exact scenario with my Mazda RX-8.

I would definitely make sure it's updated before you install. I made the mistake of not checking, and now I've gotta take it all back out when I get the cable from in2thefyr2001. I mean, it's not a huge deal to take it back out, but it would've been less of a headache to make sure it was updated ahead of time.

My only issue with the Metra is the outside temperature is anywhere from 6-7 degrees different that what the car/HUD says. I read on Axxess's site that there is an update that fixes that bug. Good luck!

I'm not sure that there is a way to tell, other than plugging it into the update software with the cable. I could be wrong though. Anybody know this for sure?
