Active Duty Military with a story.. 1SS 29grand?

hello there friendly dealers!! im posting again cause my GM case and lemon law failed.. but ive got an interesting story..

a friend of mine whose in our camaro club got a 1SS for 29,145 with RS package bostin acoustics as well. he was able to talk this car down way far and threw a lil cash down as well. I can provide the invoice as proof if any dealer wants to match or beat this price!!! i got a 2011 camaro 1LT/RS for trade in only had it 4 months. has Convienience and connectivity, bluetooth, sunroof, back up sensors, PDIM, cloth seats, NO MODIFICATION! car has 10100 miles on it right now. lets try to get close as we can to breakin EVEN and ill be SET!! i can throw a max of 1100 down NO MORE car i want..
IBM 1SS... as basic as you can get!!

Not trying to argue but just a few questions, if I may.

If your friend got a new 2011 1SS for 29145 w RS and Boston Acoustics, how can you figure your used 2011 1LT RS with 10,000 miles on it is worth anywhere near 29000?

You admittedly have problems with the car because of the lemon law proceedings and that makes it worth even less.

Even with the military discount (same as supplier, credit union discount, etc.), I can't see a 1SS for $29000.

I didnt believe it myself when he told me honestly... i paid 27 for my 1LT it got appraised as 23grand for trade in.. he had the invoice in his glove box. showed me the prices cause hes active military too.. and how they had a "sale price" which came out to 32 grand.. he threw in a grand for a down, so thats down to 31 right there. now the next part is interesting. he made then nix out some options that were "dealer-installed" options.. explained the whole process how the dealers go ordering camaros and so he got some of the options knocked off. cause they were dealer preferences... he is a good talker =] i knwo ti sounds hard to believe and i know my car has had issues but its only 4 months old.. also he bough his without a trade.. i know illhave neg equity but im trying to see what all incentives I.E: active duty discount, GM loyalty discount, whatever camaro rebate at the time as well. I honestly thought he was joking.. and i wish i could get the proof ill ask him if i can snap a picture. but till then i do not expect you to believe me =]

Keep in mind that sometimes there are restrictions on the various discount that my prevent you from using all of them on the same vechicle.
For example, I just bought a Vert yesterday.
I'm elegible for a GM Supplier Discount plus I have a GM credit card that allows to use accumulate 'rewards' to use towards buying a vehicle.
The dealer looked, and it seemed to indicate I could use one or the other but not both, at least not on a Vert.
The wording was a bit vague, so we closed the deal taking only one of the discounts, but he applied for both, just in case.
If it turns out that both discounts are honered, they'll cut a check to me for the additional discount.

So just remember that even tho you may qualify for multiple discounts, they may not all be applicable on that particular car all at the same time.

yes you are absolutely right..
in my case the Active duty military disounct will conflict with my GM friends and family discount.. its one or the other. but GM loyalty discount is different.. my bud got 8500 in rebates for a new malibu ( yes i know different car = different rebates) so it gives me a lil bit of hope.. worse case scenario it sits here while im in korea and i trade up when i get back =]

If you have the true GM Employee pricing, this will be the best price you will find. You will also qualify for the EVA.

PS...I would love to see both the invoice and the buyer's order on the deal your friend got.

I read that the Military Discount requires you to hang on to the vehicle for a minimum 6mos. Anyway I don't think I qualify for the Mil Disc.(Way to take care of our Military who put their lives on the line in defense of our nation GM) I hope you get what you want for it. And bring something warm to wear in So. Korea, you're gonna need it bubba!

He didn't get it for 29. You stated he threw a grand down. That's 30,145. Not exactly a door buster deal if it has no more options than you listed with a military discount.
