couple basic questions..
For starters, my apologies if this has been covered, search doesnt work well on my phone and im very rarely at our computer- that said, a couple basic questions:
1) I have issues with the 5 minute delay it takes my phone to sync in USB mode, blue tooth muffles/distorts the sound and I don't like the lack of wheel controls in input mode- so, if using a dedicated thumb drive (containing only mp3s) will my music immediately sync for play when.I start the car, or will I still experience a 5 minute loading sequence? 2)- how the hell do I use the blue tooth on my phone to make calls? It always seems to default to the on-star, even with my phone (droid x) synced and connected? I didn't subscribe to onstar, nor.do I want to use it. Again, I apologize if this is redundant or simplistic, I just can't figure it out... Thanks!

Not sure about the MP3 stuff. But BlueTooth with phone should be straight forward. I have a Blackberry, once I paired it with the vehicle it simply works everytime I enter and strart the vehicle. I use my phone to make a call and that's it.

Do you mean make a call by pressing the button on the steering wheel? I haven't tried that yet so I don't know if it'll work, but I just start the call on my phone and the blue tooth works.

Yeah- I mean by using the steering wheel.buttons and voice commands. I can use my droid x via blue tooth for music, including using the steering wheel controls, however if I try the phone buttons (which, if I read correctly in the owners manual, operate the phone calls) automatically go to on star....

OK- I got the phone part down! Didn't realize I had to sync my phone TWICE- once for the music/mp3 player and again for the phone- works now!
Still.curious about the usb drive tho- takes way too long to sync my phone each time I plug it in, anyone using a dedicated USB drive? Does it load right away or still.take forever to load/sync?
