I chickened out of Painting my Rally stripes.

Well I chickened out... I just wasnt comfortable painting the Rally Stripes on my car. I went back between white and black 50X.... So I scrapped it. Now Im going to remove my stripes and replace them with the new Bumblebee stripes. Much larger then the original ones I like them alot. NOW.. Glossy black or the Same Metalic gray thats on the car? The price is only about $185 compared to $1200 for the painted rally stripes.

I was thinking they take away from the V8's look because they cover the Mailslot up. They are a cleaner look on the V6. I guess if you use a light color they would look good on a V8 otherwise they would hide your slot.

You'll have to install them or pay someone to do them. Lucky for you there is no mail slot. Those aren't easy to go around.

One day when I have the money I'm going to paint mine. Still, it's hard to pay $1500 vs $450. I've already recvd a few small nicks in my stripes. When the engine heats them up they get kinda soft. If a rock hits them while they are warm they'll nick.

BTW....go with Gloss Black and the long extended stripes.

Im having alot of work done to the car now (GFX, Rear Scoops..) the Paint shop wants $375 to install the Extended stripes, seems a bit high??
Any idea what they cost to have installed? I would F them up big time if I did them myself so I want to have someone do them.

Vinyl can be removed without repainting the whole hood and trunk...good choice.
