I generally look at it as it's just a hunk of metal and plastic, but I after almost 2 years I finally named mine Hoover, because it sucks the money right out of my wallet

I have owned probably close to 150 cars in my driving career..
Have never named any of my cars...
But all the girls in the office have named our car "Chester"
One of the CSA's says it looks like Chester Cheetah ....
So I guess I have accepted it....

How about Ron Burgundy? Whenever I see a RTJ that is the first thing that comes to mind.

My Lovely Wife calls my Camaro Beyonce because of the wide hips (Rear Quarterpanels).

Mine's name is Sally because of the Joe Cocker song "Mustang Sally". He got it wrong, I just corrected it for him.

I refer to mine as "Trigger". Usually I just find myself making the same comment in a car or referring to it in a certain manner and that becomes it's "name". My white truck was a mess when I got it, and stank rankly of beer and cigarettes. Hey, it was low miles and the price was right. I refer to it as the "Untidy Whitey". I'm not too particular as to how clean it's kept. It's my winter beater 4x4 wood hauler.
When I first got the Camaro, I kept looking down and seeing that I was going too fast so I'd mutter "whoa, Trigger" to myself as I braked. It stuck. The fact that I remember one particularly well endowed stripper at a birthday party whose name was Trigger also provides me with a chuckle when I say it. To me, my car is masculine (well I'm a woman what do you expect?) so it's all cool.
So what to call your RJT? Hmmm... ol' Red? new Red? big Red? Red? Reddy Freddy? Sparkle? Dunno man, it's your car! Enjoy!
