question on installing headers.

since i will be using the stock gasket instead of the ones that came with my headers what should i be applying to the gasket once i reinstall it?

alright thankssss, was watchin some video on jba shhortys installed and he put some rtv thing on there so i wasnt sure if i should use that stuff on mine

Not with the stock gaskets, have a year and 5 mounts and no problems with stock gaskets.

Not only is it not necessary, the rtv can mess with the o2 sensors.

Good job sticking with the stock gaskets, I used the ones that came with the headers and they blew out after a couple of months and one night at the track! So stock is the way to go and nothing on them is correct!! Enjoy!!

I used the stock gaskets and installed them dry. After a few runs checked the bolt torque, no problems. Also, do not apply anything to the bolts, they go in clean and dry.
