Brake noise?

I keep hearing that GM vehicles are prone to brake noise, is this the case or is it the dealers way of getting out of doing replacement work?

I have a 2010 1LT that has the worst set of brake noise ever, its constant, and the dealer keeps telling me that the rotors and pads were glazed over, and they did "all they could" to combat the problem. If I replaced the rotors and pads would this stop or once they set in, would I get the same problems? Thanks for advise.

The V8's have Brembo's which are high performance brakes. They are known to have a little noise with them. That's the nature of the beast. As far as the V6 brakes go, I don't think they should make much if any noise.

Fhabercrombie, have you spoken with another dealership to get a second opinion on this issue? The new dealership may find something different that the first missed or possibly find something else they can do for you. I hope that helps. If you continue to have this problem let me know.
