Did you settle for less on your Camaro?

Did you buy exactly what you wanted in your Camaro or did you make concessions with regards to price, color, options or availability? I know I have done this in the past and always regretted not getting what I wanted in the first place! So, what's your story?

I didnt necessary settle for less, I got the 2SS/RS. But I did pass up buying a new Z06 or CTS-V, both cost a lot more than the Camaro. The price on used is a little close on the Z06, but know way to many people that have that car, so I passed. I decided to get the cheaper sports car, mod it and have fun with it for a while. I am sure in a year or so, that I will be driving a different car ie coupe V looks great. Use it for a DD and put the camaro in the garage, which I DD a civic now and the camaro is in the garage. Just plan on paying the camaro off in less than 2 years and bought it in Dec.

I had ordered my convertible, but I ended up with a replacement due to many months of my built car sitting in Oshawa in QC & then getting held hostage from Allied. My replacement was almost exactly what I ordered but had a black interior and I ordered gray and didn't have stripes (dealer threw in for free so I have them anyway). When my ordered one finally came in, I had the chance to see it and I am so glad I took the replacement because I hate the gray interior with the SIM exterior. It does not look good with the top down.

But I did settle with the color. I really wanted a med blue exterior (like Lemans blue but would have been happy with ABM), white stripes, white leather interior & white top. This wasn't an option so I picked an easy color to be able to get repainted if I choose to in the future.

I didn't want the sunroof but ended up getting mine with one since that was what the dealer had and everything else was what I wanted. I like the sunroof but didn't care about it one way or another.

It took me awhile to find what I wanted. I knew I wanted a 2011 2SS/RS A6 with ground effects and black leather interior. But the camaro looks so damn good in many colors. I jumped back and forth between the SGM, CGM, RJT, and IBM. After I decided I wanted IBM, I decided to order one to how I liked it, but found out I could not order one due to the hold on metallic paints. My salesperson searched for one with what I wanted. He found one exactly like I wanted, but it had silver stripe package. I eventually wanted to put on cyber gray. I told him I will take the car as long as he removes the silver stripes and I wouldn't have to pay for that option or the removal...and in the end it worked out for me. I got the exact car I wanted so I am a happy camper. Now if I could just get home from Iraq to drive it.

Got what I wanted..Very happy. They had to search for a week to find it but they found it.

Got what I wanted at the time but later on decided I wanted I liked the orange leather after all so I wish I had gotten that

With my height I could've used the extra couple of inches of head room.

I also wanted ABM but GM nixed that for me. I also wanted a gray interior instead of black. Regardless, no regrets because buying when and how I did saved me at least $5k.

I have an LS, I wanted an SS but this Is my first car so it was impossible to get financing for an SS.. I don't work and just in college so I think an LS is best now but I am upgrading to a c6 grandsport in a couple of years

It's tough to say, I was all over the map when getting mine., First I just wanted an LS with no options. Cheap and good gas milage. Then I started thinking I wanted the SS, and looking at 2SS/RS in IOM. I realized that was more than I wanted to spend, and decided on a IOM 1SS with RS as the only option.

However, the dealer didn't have any, and the only one they could locate with what I wanted was in Miami. No telling how many miles it would have on it and if they would even trade as they were asking over sticker. So, the dealer gave me a VR 1SS w/o RS to demo, only about 11 or so miles on it when I first got in, and I fell in love and made a deal.

I love the red, even more so now that my dad has a red one too, so not disappointed on color. I wouldn't have minded getting the RS package, but I'm not real sad over that either, simply because any time I spend less money I have less buyer remorse.

at the time this was put together exactly how i wanted. told the guy no spoilers, no sunroofs, and nothing but black and he came through with this. i was fresh out of college with a decent job and some money saved up and the 2LT was absolutely my limit as far as budget goes (it was actually about 2-3k OVER my limit, i said screw it and sprung for leather as a treat)

now, 2 years later, i have a different job that is much better paying and if i could do it over again i'd be looking at V8's but times have changed for me so it really isn't fair to think like that. as far as i'm concerned i did not settle on this car
