Exclamation small question!!

hey guys....

just wanted to ask if my camaro was in N shift or P and I hit the gas to 7 or 8 RPM does that affect anything to the car or its ok if I did that.

I'm asking cuz my car is new and I'm afraid that something happens!

I mean like when you want to make a loud sound and hit the gas and the RPM comes to 7 or 8 does it harm the engine or anything else?

I wouldn't hold it to the floor for long periods but a few quick stabs at the gas won't hurt anything.

You can't rev past 3.5-4k while in park. The car will shut down at that point. Not sure if you can bypass that in N though.

Wow great way to spin a bearing

A rev is fine you won't go past 4k because of the computer rev limiter. Step on the gas a few times never hurt but don't hold it

just to put this out there, you limited to around 4k on a free rev on a auto, but on a manual LS3 you can rev to redline. in neutral
