Pace Car replica?

A local dealer has a Pace Car "replica" for sale. Whats up with calling it a replica?

To the best of my understanding, they've all been "replicas". You're not buying the car that paced the race. Instead, you're buying a replica of that car.

The option itself costs more than $1800 but it includes a lot of options that don't come standard on the SS like the RS package, polished wheels, IOM interior, painted heritage grille and interior cupholder and footwell lighting.

My number is what it cost in 2010 above and beyond the RS package that was lumped all together as RPO Z4Z.

In 2010 it ws 1,800 extra for the Indy Edition as apposed a regular 2SS/RS L99. Not too bad for limited edition (294 built)

Yes, this is the package as listed on the sticker, but half the items are also on the sticker of a fully loaded convertable. The upgrade to a 2011 Pace Car isn't $6,500

Try again. The cost of a standard 2SS/RS with Orange interior, painted grille, painted engine cover, polished wheels, automatic, lighted footwell and orange stripes is just over $46k. It's about $2k difference for the Pace Car package.

Stop trying to make people feel stupid for buying these cars. They're not paying near as much over the price of a non-pace car as you're trying to make it seem.

Compare the value of any pace car to the value of the regular version of any used car.

if you have the money to invest in something limited to only 500 that will ever be produced why wouldn't you? if you had a chance to buy a 69 pace car in 69 and still have it today would you have? i plan on keeping my car for a long long time and the way i see it,it's a better investment than the stupid money market or any other investment for that matter as of now with the market sucking and be able to enjoy it while not being locked up in a bank....

You are an ass, only an idiot wouldn't see that when you add up everything you get for the $6500.00 Pace car pkg. it's only 2K additional and in 20 years if you don't think the pace car will be worth 2K more then a non pace car vert. then that makes you an ass!
