DRL Bulb Question

I know this topic has been beaten to death but I couldn't find a specific answer on a search.

....anyway. I have a 2SS/RS and I want my DRL's to be of a bright white light. I do not want the look of LEDs or a halo, just a solid bright light that will be the best match to the stock HID's.

Where can I buy these bulbs? And what are all my options?

I also understand I need to get a harness to have them on with my Halo's

Thanks!

The plasmas don't match the hids... Aac pw13 bulb is a pretty close match.

The AAC plasma P13Ws and the AAC P13W LEDs are the same color (I believe its around 6000K). These match the color of the halo. Whereas the HID is a 5000K bulb, AAC also offers a replacement HID bulb if you want to switch that to 6000K

I'm gonna have to disagree with you there... The plasmas look more blue than white. And the pw13 LEDs are more white, but also there's a chance that the pwm drl signal will burn them out so you'll need a drl harness.

Fair enough. But yes, with the LEDs you need the DRL harness. The plasmas have a built in regulator that protects them from the PWM.

I would go with the plasma DRL and use the D1S 6000k bulb to get the best match .

I'd be curious on how close of a match this is. I'd go this route since the plasmas are supposed to be durable and you don't need a drl harness.

I've seen a RS package equipped camaro that had the D1S HIDs switched to 6000k and the P13W plasmas. They look really close. The stock HIDs don't match the plasma LEDs.
