HOLY $@!T IT HAPPENED AGAIN!!!! MY CAR HAS "HIT ME" ALL OVER IT!!!

So yesterday I left work on MCRD Parris Island towards a theater for graduation practice for my BS I completed last year. I get no more than 300 feet away doing 25MPH and BAM! Some lady ran a stop sign and hit me!!!!!! As most of you may know, I just got my car back two weeks ago today from being fixed the last time someone hit me (or made me hit him actually).

The lady was approaching a stop sign. After she stopped, she saw me coming, but she said she thought it was a four way stop and that I was gonna stop. So she proceeded to make her turn and of course I hadn't stopped. Apparently my car isn't bright enough so she just smacked right into it! I didn't see her until she was in the lower left corner of my windshield but by then it was too late! So here's the result. The airbags deployed and the driver's door is stuck, so I had to crawl out through the passenger side (in a suit). Good thing is she has USAA as I do, and her adjuster already accepted responsibility, so USAA reserved a rental car for me already and my car is being towed to the body shop who fixed it last time.

So now I'm wondering if they'll be totaling the car. I've heard the airbags deploying is an indicator that they'll total it, and also, with where it was hit, there may be some structural damage. I should find out by the end of the week.

I am really sorry to hear this. I really hate to see this on a Camaro.

I have learned through personal experience that some cars are just magnets for other cars. Here was my personal experience with a Ford Probe I bought new many years ago.

First, five days after I bought it new (the first one ever sold at the dealership) a jerk was running from the police driving the wrong way on the highway. As I crested an overpass there he was coming straight at me. I swerved and he hit the driver door and ripped my rear tire and suspension off. It took 5 months to get it repaired due to a delay on parts. It was a new car.

I finally got it back when I am driving in a small town in Missouri. As I go through a GREEN light, a police car blasts through the intersection and I T-Bone him square in his door. Once we all come to a rest he then gets back in his car and turns on his lights. I got a ticket for failure to yield to an emergency vehicle. It ultimately was dismissed, but two months later I get the car back.

Six months later I am driving in very heavy rain. I loose traction and slide into a car. It turns out to be an unmarked ATF vehicle. One month later I get the car back.

I sold it and have been incident free since.

Damn dude sorry to see this. I remember you posting when you get the car back from the first hit. I say Take the lost get you rims and start over. And is that a intake cone shield on the DS front on the ground?

I have an old "Bomb site" hood ornament from my 57 Buick I think I will send to you, that way you can hit them square on next time.

Maybe a brighter color and a cleaner car would help them see it better? Perhaps you should stripe it with this stuff for trains:

Maybe the lady has a problem with people putting an SS front fascia on a V6 car?

Or maybe she was blinded by the chrome on your wheels?

All kidding aside, I hope they can get you and your car back to good as new. I'm willing to bet there's enough structural damage that it'll get totaled out, which sucks. But hopefully they'll make it right and you can get the SS now. Keep us posted.
