Chrome Door Handles??

I figure most people have never either thought of this or more likely prefer the body coloured handles instead, however, I was just wondering if GM was going to offer a dealer installed option like they do on ALL the other Chevrolets they currently build.

Personally, I think the chrome door handles would look sweet , but may seem too retro for others.

I like the G8 door handles. They are body colored with the chrome surround. It adds a little pop to the car without looking gaudy. Somebody is bound to make chrome covers if you really want them.

I would prefer crome especially if a person is going to add crome wheels.
would also like to see crome trim, and maybe a crome grill.
But that is my style, I'm old school.

I've got chrome on my HHR and they look okay on it. I like the body colored on the Camaro, as a matter of fact I'm trying to figure out how to tone down the key hole.

Cool Chrome?

I don't want it, but I am sure there is going to be a LOT of after market goods for the Camaro and chrome parts will be part of that. If you like it go for it.

These are probably out of the stockbin GM door handles, Many companies already make chrome replacements for them, and some even make covers to go over the stock ones to make them look chrome...

I dunno, for some reason chrome door handles to me really screams "OMG, I NEEEED TO GO BACK TO THE 70's/60's" when it comes to this kind of car. If anything, the fact that it has body-colored door handles is another 'modernization' of the classic Camaros. The chrome on this vehicle in the first place is used rather sparingly as it is, so I would think chrome door handles would look a trifle out of place unless they were done precisely like the concept... which had stainless steel door handles if I recall.

Chrome crap all over the car looks cheap and gawdy. I see enough beat up long wheel base trucks pulling lawn mowers around here with a bunch of chrome, like the chrome fender trim, chrome handles, chrome steps, chrome gas cap, chrome vent visors, chrome grilles, chrome bed rails, chrome side molding, and anything else that looks like it was in the chrome bin at the auto parts store. Chrome looks good if done on something that is supposed to be chrome, like wheels. But anything plastic, fiberglass, ect... should be painted. But then again, I like it when people put chrome stuff all over the place cause it makes mine look that much better.

i wouldn't mind them if i had any intention of putting other chrome things on the car. thing is... i ain't gonna do that, so i say no. i'm a big nut about things matching on my vehicle. at first, i thought it would be stupid to have blacked-out tail lights & clear fronts, but after getting this truck and having the chrome bumper & grille, it would look worse (to me) to not have clears up front, but i still got the black tail lights & chmsl to match the rest of the black trim.

I'd like them to be an option.
I don't know if I will/would put chrome handles on personally,
I think they look fine, I couldnt say they either make or break the look.
I guess partly it depends on the look you are going for and what your overal paint scheme is.

I personally think chrome looks better against dark paint. But against black sometimes it appears Too bright.

I plan on getting a black 2SS. I'd be leaning toward a brushed aluminum myself. fOr, take them and have them done in a sort of smoke mirror powder coat. I'd like them to be an accent but still subtle.

Chrome may not get ya home, but it could get ya laid!

YES! Offer up the chrome to those that want it. The handles look cool either way and I like to change things up a bit after awhile. Chrome on Black looks bitchin' on anything. Some colors not so good. But I think in no time at all there will be this genuine option and I'll probably buy it.

Great poll!
