Paint Codes

Does anyone know (or have access to) the paint codes for the 2010 Camaro?

I would like to have my GFX painted before the car comes in, and then return them to the dealer for installation.... dealer says they will likely be shipped to them via fed-ex before the car is delivered.

My car will be black....the "order code" for black is "GBA".... I am pretty sure that this is not the "paint code".

I did a search, but fell shy of finding an answer.....

Your dealer should know the paint code. If you know your color is on another car that GM makes, most collision/body shops or paint stores will have the code.

Black is usually black unless it has some metal flake or pearl in it which the Camaro doesn't.

There are a lot of different Black paint codes. Any automotive paint suppliers will have the codes already and any body shop will be able to get them already. I recently inquired about Rally yellow and was able to get the info from my paint supplier.

well the dealer thinks.....

"Until you asked what the paint code is, I had not even looked, but when I did, I found that they have changed all paint codes for the 2010 Camaros over to a new system that uses a 3-alpha character system. The particular one for the Camaro you are getting is GBA. However, I have been unable to find anyone who can tell me if that is the same actual paint color as one of the old codes, or if it is an entirely new formulation."

My friend that works at a GMC body shop says that he would bet anything that the paint code is "WA 8555". GM has supposedly used 8555 since the 80's.

…….. he went to his workstation, where they mix up the paint, and GBA did not pull any results.

Well...

It turns out that GBA is the paint code. Sherwin Williams site recognizes it.

sherwin williams # is the 33756

.......yours still says WA8555 ...... hmmmm

maybe they are just renaming the colors and the color codes?

I think I will be safe having the GFX painted the WA 8555 color

If I understand your question correctly, white is supposed to be available this summer (someone can correct me if I'm wrong on when it's available, but I thought it was summer).
