Rear window tint question

Just got my windows tinted and the tinter did not want to remove the back top panel that covers the speakers in case anything broke on the car and he would be liable. So I ended up with him cutting the tint around the 3rd brake light. The cuts are very clean and doesn't look that bad, but it wasn't the look I was going for. I'd like to have it redone.

I see several clips when I take the back seat down and looking in through the trunk. Are there any hidden screws I should know about or is taking this panel off a major PITA?

The panel is a PITA to remove. Don't get me wrong, it is doable, just takes some time and a bit of concentration. But yea, most tint places will go around the 3rd brake light because it is illegal to tint over the 3rd brake light (or so I have been told)

Ok I wasn't sure what most people were doing when getting their car tinted. It doesn't look like a 5 minute job.

Mine looks similar but it's cut to the second defrost line instead of the first like yours. I'm assuming because it's such a tight area there's no way for the installer to get the tool down there. I'm not about to rip half the backseat apart for a tint job and run the risk of breaking something or having rattles down the road. Wish it was simpler.

Mine was done the same way. Down to the first defrost line. The place used a computer plotter/cutter and every tint panel was cut to be an exact fit for my car.

they removed the back piece where the speakers are at. its a hassle to remove all that and it leaves lots of scratches if not done very very carefully. the first time, they left a whole for the 3rd brake light. i wanted it covered so i went back and got my rear window redone to cover the brake light but they removed everything in the back. big look difference with the break light covered!

Ok so it seems like the installer shouldn't have to remove the back panel then if some have got it done like that. I might bring it back to have it redone because of the brake light and just today I noticed a bubble about 3/16 round and another bubble that looks like a very fine small scribble about 1/2 long. The only thing that sucks is the shop is over 300 kms away.

edit: Could having the tint removed do any damage to the rear defrost?
