Whipple bypass valve

I had a Whipple installed at Haddad Motorsports and I love the power the blower gives. Just one major problem, sometimes the damn bypass valve sticks in the open position and my car has V6 like power.
Has any one with the Whipples have any problem like this. I guess Haddad has been talking to Whipple to solve it and they seem to be taking their sweet ass time. In the mean time, I'm stuck with less power than stock sometimes, and I can't stand it.

don't think this has bee an issue? but maybe its a defective valve, don't see why they can't send you another one, also can you tell us more about the driving conditions when the valve gets stuck.

Already been done to death.
What we've found is that its heat related.
At a certain temp the actual blade of the bypass valve gets stuck.

I actually made a bypass valve limiter to band-aid the problem and it has worked, except for the fact that we don't get full by pass.

We saw the same problem on one of there prototype cars that neither whipple or the owner of the vehicle was aware of. Supposedly they're looking into it, but it been a week and I haven't heard from them.

Thanks
Mike Haddad

Well the first thing I notice is no power or boost( I need a boost gauge now) and you can hear air making a damn whistling sound at part throttle like those Power Aid spacers.

It just pisses me off that it's taking this long. I didn't spend all this money to make less than stock power. What's up with Whipple?

The adjustment has been changed many times. If the valve is defective I don't know what the hold up with Whipple is. I recently was at a BBQ and their prototype car was there and his valve was stuck wide open while the engine is off. So this is a problem even in their prototype car.

Sounds like a defective valve. If its been adjusted that has to be it. I got lucky my valve did not even require adjustment. Try and call Whipple yourself instead of Haddad and ask to speak to Jeff. He was a great big help, even gave me his personal cell over the weekend when i was first installing my Whipple. I am suprised there has been this kind of delay though, its possible the Camaro project guys may be at some big show last week. I`ve heard that has happened before, and they got right on it and had it fixed once they were back.
