actually, in the states, you can have some other colors. reds are illegal & blues that flash are illegal. the rest of them should be fine

Purple and green is most likely illegal in most states but it depends on how the laws are worded. Like in North Carolina, our law specifically states that the only legal colors on the front half of the car are amber, white, and soft blue. This makes purple and green illegal for street use here.

Thats what I thought, and I think most states laws are similarly worded. Where in North Carolina? I'm stationed at Camp Lejeune, NC, but I'm in Iraq right now. :flag2:

You'd better familiarize yourself with the laws of the EPA. Doesnt matter what state your in, they answer to no one but the president.
If you modify an emissions controlled vehicle in ANY way pertaining to the engine (including air cleaner & exhaust) it is in fact illegal. They have not been enforcing it and probably wont bust you for small stuff but ... they CAN and they made it very clear at SEMA last year that they plan to start.
