How could they already have auctioned the first Honor and Valor Camaro? I thought it was a 2012 and that production has not begun.
Waiting on mine to be built and delivered. Still don't have pricing on it!

I'm with you. I didn't want to part with my 2010 CGM 2SS/RS but 1 of 100 limited edition was enough to pull the trigger for me. They also are not producing the CGM anymore for 2012, I may end up just keeping my 2010 also. They really don't want to give much on trade-in and rather than loose more money than I'm willing to, I may just hang on to it.

The car they ran off was not the car being auctioned. Buyer will receive Car #1 when it is built. I have to say something.. it was actually a poor presentation to raise the money. Last car of the night.. and they should have waited till the build, had a General buy it and then auction it off as his car. Then they would have gotten 3-500,000.

Agree... Let General Petraeus drive it around for 200 miles then auction it. Plus, there is not a whole lot of info out there on the car. Even when I was first calling and checking with GM on ordering due to the low number being built, I had to speak with a couple of people that didn't know anything about it before finally getting someone that atleast took my info down.
They should have contacted some sports stars, movie stars, singers, Jay Leno to let them know when the auction was being held to create more buz and push the final bid numbers up. I'm sure Leno would have paid double that knowing it would benefit military troops.

The presentation was off, but the intent was correct. Kudos to GM for Supporting the Troops.

The Cellphone for Soldiers program is a great charity but it exudes that someone is profiting from the buy of the calling cards for the troops.

Had they done the auction in the name of "WOUNDED WARRIOR PROJECT" which evoke's a more emotional punch to the masses, I bet it would have generated $200-$250,000
